Product Description
Premium medical grade 16+ Leptospermum scoparium New Zealand honey in a sterile 1.5 oz (45 g) tube, sold by the unit.
High potency medical grade Manuka honey with a pH of 3.0–4.5 that reduces wound bed pH to optimise healing and promotes autolytic debridement. The honey is released into the wound bed with a sustained flow while exudate and necrotic tissue are absorbed into a secondary dressing (applied separately). May also assist with acne / hidradenitis suppurativa treatment.
Instructions for Use
Cleanse the wound. Apply directly to the wound or to a suitable primary dressing, e.g. an alginate, gauze or absorbent pad. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing. Discard after use.
Indications
Indicated for wounds with no to light (scant) exudate, including:
- •Venous ulcers
- •Diabetic foot ulcers
- •Pressure ulcers
- •Arterial and surgical wounds
- •Skin tears
- •Second degree burns.
Contra-indications
Known allergy to bee venom/honey.
