Product Description
Algivon is a non-adherent alginate dressing impregnated with Activon medical grade Manuka honey.
Algivon effectively desloughs and debrides wounds and absorbs exudates, helps to maintain a moist wound environment and aids the healing process. The absorptive properties help to prolong the retention of Activon Manuka honey at a wound site.
Instructions for Use
Place the dressing directly onto the wound bed, either side down. The dressing can be cut or folded to fit the wound. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing. Single patient use only.
Indications
Suitable for partial or full thickness wounds, including;
- •Sloughy wounds
- •Pressure ulcers
- •Leg ulcers
- •Diabetic foot ulcers
- •Surgical wounds
- •Burns
- •Malodorous wounds.
Contra-indications
Known allergy to bee-venom/honey.
